System logs off when clicking setting, Gnome help, or Rhythmbox

I am using Ubuntu 18.04. Whenever I click on setting, Gnome help, or Rhythmbox icon, the system automatically logs off.
Is there a bug or a conflict? How can I check it and fix it?

There's not really any diagnostic information to go on here. The symptom you're experiencing isn't diagnostic of a specific problem, so people can only guess. This might be one of those cases where something got corrupted, and the "universal fix" would be to reinstall.
