All input to Windows has stopped
After restarting the computer while in a glitched admin password prompt where the prompt failed to display while still locking you in the orange-looking background screen, Windows no longer recognizes input from either the keyboard, the mouse, or my volume slider or microphone.
The BIOS recognizes the mouse and keyboard, and when booting to Safe Mode, the Win 10 recovery screen recognizes keyboard and mouse, but Safe Mode recognizes only the keyboard. I cannot do anything on the computer except via Safe Mode. Both keyboard and mouse work fine, but they know they aren't connected - when Windows boots, they turn off until a key is pressed, and then they show only the 'On' light, and no keys light up. I can access only programs accessible via Command Prompt in Safe Mode. Device Manager tells me that Safe Mode, at least, sees all affected devices. Normal Win 10 continues to ignore all input. I am running the latest version. Does anyone know what's gone wrong, or if there's a fix besides a Windows reinstall?
Edit: I've run sfc /scannow
and it fixed a few corrupted files, however, the issue remains unresolved.
