string and date expression - Crystal reports
I am working with different kind of expressions however I seem to be stuck in one specific expression, I am intending to get the date on a yyyymmdd format but my expressions keeps the date as m/dd/yyyy. Any guide will be extremely helpful.
{Command.SELLER}&"-PE"&tonumber(totext({Command.CHECK_DATE},'YYYYMMdd'))
{Command.SELLER}&"-PE"&Date({Command.CHECK_DATE})
Results :
1112-PE20051125

It's unclear why your casting to number the date. Do you want Julian day number? See archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3262580
