Set default command to run for a specific file extension (Linux Mint)

0

I created a bash file that converts .heic and .heif images to .jpg. I set it to run that bash file by making the .sh program the default program to use for this file type in the "open with" section of the context menu. However, now it runs this script for any unknown file type. How can I set it for just .heic and .heif files?
