How to disable Outlook 2016 search history?
I just updated to Office 2016. I'm not a fan of the recent search dropdown list when you click on the search box in Outlook (refer to image posted below). Does anyone know how to disable this?

If you are not on corporate lockdown and have access to your registry, I found an article on removing the search's most recent file list: howto-outlook.com. Basically, you would remove key101f0445
from registry keyHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice16.0OutlookProfilesprofile namea0d020000000000c000000000000046
. My office is migrating later this week, so I haven't tried this solution yet.

I do not know a way to disable the recent search dropdown but I have found that if I click directly on the magnifying glass in the search box that the recent search terms still pop-up but they pop-up BELOW the search fields that I have setup (using the +More in the search ribbon). I still don't like it but it doesn't slow down my searches with a 2nd click to get to my search fields.
