Add usbserial kernel module to yocto build
I have a Renesas H3 board for which I build an embedded Linux. Upon connecting a GPS module top the USB port, I expected a /dev/tty entry but that did not happen. lsusb gives this -
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 067b:2303 Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2303 Serial Port
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Looking for answers I saw that the associated module has to be loaded and when I search for the module , this is the output-
/# modprobe usbserial
modprobe: FATAL: Module usbserial not found in directory /lib/modules/4.9.0-rcar-gen3
How do I add this module during the build so that I can access the GPS module through serial tty?
linux usb kernel yocto-project
