It works for me, when I put single quotes around the path and use git path syntax. I just dragged devenv into the console to get the path and hit enter.

          '/c/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Visual Studio/2017/Community/Common7/IDE/devenv.exe'

          git bash launching devenv.exe

You could try the following steps:

            1. Open git bash

            2. Type the following command:
              echo alias code='/c/Windows/System32/cmd.exe //C code $*' > ~/.bash_profile

            3. Enter

            4. Restart git bash

Now you can use code command in Git bash to open Visual studio code, like: $code .
