Issue with executing a python install.py in my virtual environment
Background: working on a windows 10 laptop with PyCharm community installed. My laptop runs python 3.6 normally, but I have a file that runs in python 2.7 only, so I used a Pycharm virtual environment to run python 2.7 and not the computer in general.
I have been given a specific python 2.7 program with a install.py file (cannot use pip). I have been using the built in terminal in PyCharm to attempt to install the program in my virtual environment. However, when attempting to run python install.py, the install file cannot see the eggs directory and won't run the installation.
error: Not a URL, existing file, or requirement spec:
And it cannot accesss the eggs directory specifically. Is there a way I can run python install.py with a command that also allows it to access the other directories next to the install.py file inside my virtual environment?
