Can no longer update Thunderbird colours using userChrome.css

0

A few months back I used the userChrome.css file to specify text colour and background colours in Thunderbird. I now want to make further changes but nothing I do has any effect on the colours. Is there a way to "reset" the colours to defaults? Am I missing some step that is preventing the colours from changing?

I have tried installing the "Account Colors" extension, but this also has no effect on the colours.

Any help would be appreciated.

  • Did you change themes? Some themes have colors set which override anything in "userchrome.css". If you changed themes, just revert to the default & see if your colors are applied. You might also use a CSS checker in case you mis-edited anything in the CSS file.
