Recommended procedure doesn't work to save GMail password in Chrome
I have tried the recommended procedure to save Google passwords (GMail, Contacts, Calendar) in Chrome, but it doesn't work. It doesn't allow me to save my password for these services. The setting "Ask to save passwords" is On. I even logged into my Google account and changed my password. At no time was I asked or given the option of saving my password. Anyone else having this problem? What am I doing wrong?

What did you do to try saving the password? Is the setting "Offer to save passwords" on? It should just ask you after logging in, or I think clicking on the key symbol in the url bar should work too
