Possible to group rows but keep originals in Microsoft Excel pivot tables?

0

I've created a pivot table with a number of states and their associated data; let's say the 50 US states. I'd like to group together certain of these states, but also have the original states rows remain. Is this possible?

For example, I'd like to have the pivot table show something like this:

  • New Hampshire

  • Connecticut

  • Massachusetts

  • Rhode Island

  • All New England states

  • All New England states minus Rhode Island
