Unable to start bluetooth in Kali Linux inside VMWare
My Native OS is OSX and I am running Kali Linux 2.0 Sana inside VMWare. When I try to run the command
$ service bluetooth status
● bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; enabled)

Docs: man:bluetoothd(8)

Status: "Running"

Hint: Some lines were ellipsized, use -l to show in full.
I can see that Sap driver initialization failed
.
$uname -srv
Linux 4.0.0-kali1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.0.4-1+kali2 (2015-06-03)
What is going wrong here and how can I fix this issue? Is this because of Kali Linux or just because I'm running it inside a Virtual Machine?
bluetooth vmware kali-linux

AFAIK, VMware has very limited support for a guest OS to utilize wireless anything. You are much better off if you need wireless pentesting to install Kali dual booting along side the OS of your choice.

AFAIK, VMware has very limited support for a guest OS to utilize wireless anything. You are much better off if you need wireless pentesting to install Kali dual booting along side the OS of your choice.
