Remove cgroup device controller limitations without using privileged flag in docker

0

I need to access the devices on my host inside my docker container. But I need to run docker with privileged flag to get that access.

As per docker documentation:

Full container capabilities (--privileged)

The --privileged flag gives all capabilities to the container, and it also lifts all the limitations enforced by the device cgroup controller. In other words, the container can then do almost everything that the host can do. This flag exists to allow special use-cases, like running Docker within Docker

The privileged flag is used to remove limitations enforced by device cgroup controller, which essentially gives me access to the devices on the host.

Is there a way to remove this cgroup limitation without using the privileged flag and using only linux capabilities.
