(a) Determine the sample size such that the length of 95% confidence interval is at most 0.04.



(b) To reduce the cost, assume that the half of the sample is only available. Determine the significance level such that the the length of 95% confidence interval is at most 0.04.



Well, (a) is quite easy. However, I don't even know how should I start (b). Can you help me solve (b)?
