Prompt User Before Executing Scheduled Task
I've got a scheduled task in Windows that is computationally expensive. Additionally, it doesn't actually need to run every time it's scheduled (just most of the time). This is on a laptop, so I can't just run it overnight.
I'd like Windows to prompt me at the scheduled time, and give me the option to let it go ahead and run or just skip it today. Right now, I add something to my calendar to remind me to trigger it if it's a good day, but that's not ideal.
Is there some way of doing this with the Task Scheduler?

Instead of scheduling the task direct, run a batch file which callschoice
to ask whether to run the task, thenstart
to launch it if requested. You will need to make sure that the task scheduler settings allow terminal interaction.
