How I do install self-signed certificate in Chrome on Ubuntu 18.10?
I want to try websocket ssl between Google chrome and my server. I did following commands to create SAN supported (SAN has required since Chrome 58) certificate. But raise a 'Not a Certification Authority: Internet Widgits Pty Ltd: Not a Certification Authority when import it to chrome.
commands to create a certificate that I did :
openssl genrsa 2048 > server.key
openssl rsa -in server.key -out server.key
openssl req -new -key server.key > server.csr
#push enter many times with blank
echo subjectAltName=DNS:localhost > san.ext
openssl x509 -days 36500 -req -signkey server.key < server.csr > server.crt -extfile san.ext
ubuntu google-chrome ssl certificate

Should be as easy as installing the certificate store for the system. What have you tried exactly? Please be specific when you edit your question.
