reset bios password hp spectre
I have an mid 2018 HP spectre x360 convertible ch000, and I forgot the bios password. Only help from HP is to send the laptop in and I cannot afford the wait time. I am not absolutely certain, but it does not appear to have a dedicated cmos battery after opening it up. I do not get any codes after 3 wrong entries as well, and asks for an HP spare key recovery USB.
What other options do I have to remove the bios password?

A BIOS password that could be easily worked around would not be a good security feature, unfortunately.
