How to upgrade nginx from 1.6.2 which runs using consul template
I have nginx service running with consul-template inside docker containers on aws. I would like to upgrade from nginx from 1.6.2 to latest Here is the docker file which we are using. I afraid that adding "RUN apt-get install/update nginx" to dockerfile might break consul.
FROM ciscocloud/nginx-consul:1.2
ADD var/www /var/www
ADD consul-template /consul-template
RUN ln -sf /dev/stdout /var/log/nginx/access.log
RUN ln -sf /dev/stderr /var/log/nginx/error.log
does the consul-template will install nginx?
the owner of the ciscloud/nginx-consul haven't released updated version since 3 years.
can someone help me with how to upgrade nginx without breaking nginx?
