Eclipse workspace preferences incomplete line length
I need to export editor and Java code style profiles/preferences, so that end-users can auto-configure Eclipse workspaces for compliance with organizational style guidelines.
When imported, the files produced by File>Export>General>Preferences (.epf), and those produced by Window>Preferences>Java>CodeStyle>Formatter>Export All (.xml) fail to set Insert spaces for tabs and Show print margin. (Both of these settings live in Window>Preferences>General>Editors>TextEditors)
There must be a way to export preferences that set show print margin and spaces for tabs on import. What am I missing here?
Answers should not complicate things for end users, must be workspace (not project) preferences, and must use core features (no external dependencies). (Eclipse 2018.12, JDK 11, LinuxMint 19.1)
