Kde Plasma Icons Too Big

0

I've recently installed Kubuntu. I also installed Kvantum and Adapta. As it turns out, some icons are just too large. Is this a high dpi problem?

  • I don't recognize what theme you're using. Is the problem only in Dolphin? It looks like some corruption at the top. The issue you're referring to is the icons in the Home pane that are larger than the icons in the Places pane? That looks like the "normal" proportions. Can you clarify which icons are the issue?

  • @fixer1234 Sorry about that, but I am using Adapta Dark in both Kvantum and Plasma. The problem is everywhere, but with the icons in the top pane. Dolphin is just an example. All the other icons besides the home pane are perfectly fine.

  • Sorry, I'm still missing it. "The problem is everywhere" vs. "All the other icons are perfectly fine", and "but with the icons in the top pane" (does "but" mean "except for" or "especially"?), and "besides the home pane" (does "besides" mean "except for" or "in addition to"). The only thing in the picture that doesn't look normal is the row of "stick" icons at the top. They look too large for the space, with some of the bottoms chopped off and interference with the labels, and extraneous horizontal lines that shouldn't be there (unless they're selection indicators). (cont'd)

  • But a couple of thoughts. 1. Try setting a different icon theme in System Settings. There are occasional incompatibilities with a theme and weird stuff happens. 2. There is some fine tuning for icon size in System Settings. But with any change related to icons, it can be hard to guess which icons will be affected. If you make a change, check out icons everywhere to see the result (other apps, different places in apps, system tray, desktop, menus, etc.).
