how to find hidden ad blocker in windows [closed]
i installed(and shortly after, uninstalled) an ad-blocker a long while ago, i forget which one it is at this point. however, it seems that it is still on my system, hidden, because i have not seen an ad since then, and every ad block detector i come across gets tripped falsely (this isn't an extension thing- i checked already) if i visit the same websites in Linux, my PC can view the ads and websites with ad-block detection fine, so it isn't my ISP. how do i figure out which program is blocking ads? it does not show up in the startup section under task manager, whatever it is.
EDIT: thanks to K7AAY, the problem has been solved. He recommended i delete the hosts file from C:WindowsSystem32driversetc, and it appear to have fixed the issue
