How to use LTR and RTL text in the same line/paragraph?

I'm trying to write both Left-To-Right (LTR) and Right-To-Left (RTL) text in the same paragraph, but when I change from LTR to RTL, all of the text in the paragraph changes to the new mode.

However, I need for there to be both LTR and RTL in the same paragraph without interfering with each other.

  • If you could explain WHY you need both LTR and RTL that may help us find you a solution. Word probably does not allow both in the same paragraph, but that doesn't mean you cannot use text boxes and other formatting options to allow both types to coexist nicely in the document.
