Web pages obscured by frames on Safari 12.0.2 (macOS Mojave)

-2

When I open this webpage with problem I cannot read some text which is obscured by ads. I dont have this problem on a different account on my mac but I don't know what caches to delete.

I think I tried all of them which were available in the safari menus. Probably some file in ~/Library?

Please have a look at the screenshot of the malfunctioning page.

  • I'm not really sure what your question is. This page has Google Ads which display different things based on information Google has learned from tracking you on its own sites and third-party ones. Many of these ads can be intrusive or have layout problems so I don't see anything unusual. If you click the x it should replace it with another ad. But I would suggest using an ad blocker as a permanent solution.

  • Well, I wonder if this was a one-time issue wit the specific ad on that page. Because when I visit it now on Safari 12.0.2 on macOS Mojave (10.14.2) I see the page fine. While ad networks attempt to deliver as clean content as they can, it could simply be that this specific ad you are looking at has some bug in it. Just reload the page and the next ad should be fine.

  • I have this malfunction everytime when I open this page when I login to my computer as user "a". When I login as user "b" I dont have this. This must be a problem with some "cache" file in ~/Library. :(

@Robert Why are you obsessed with ~/Library? Just clear the cache in Safari. No harm in doing that.
