Specify graphic resolution for output in LibreOffice

0

LibreOffice allows the resolution to be specified for any file when "exported" in a graphic format such as png. In other situations, such as mail merge output, the resolution of graphics formats appear to be fixed at 96dpi. The appearance of eg 10-point text is poor at this resolution. Is there any way to override this default, and setting the output to, say 300dpi?
(I am using png to overcome a bug which prevents pdf being used.)
