x11vnc - Sharing screen in viewonly mode with multiple clients

0

For a school project i need to share my desktop with multiple clients on a LAN environement.
There will be approximatively 10 simultanous clients in view only mode.
I cant install softwares on the client side, so my choice at the moment is to use x11vnc in viewonly mode, noVNC and websockify to allow clients to connect through a web browser.

  1. Is x11vnc or 'VNC' a good option for this ?

  2. What about performances ? (The vnc server will be a core i5 laptop with 2 running vm - working well without freezes, but i wonder if VNC will slow down everything or not)

  3. Should I set the -alwaysshared and the -dontdisconnect options on x11vnc (unsure) ?

  4. Is the -ncache option usefull in this case ?

  5. What about security ?

Here's my x11vnc command at the moment:

x11vnc -nocursorshape -cursor arrow -arrow 1 -noxfixes -forever -display :0 -viewonly -nopw -alwaysshared -dontdisconnect

I had to mess with cursors and the -noxfixes options because it wasnt showing my cursor on the noVNC web interface.

I successfully got to have x11vnc working along with a noVNC web interface, it is working well but i cant test with multiple clients (i cant untill i need to-).

Any advices would be very appreciated. Also, i'm open to alternatives, but i repeat that i cant install client-side softwares and that i need this in a LAN environement.

Thanks for your time.
